i wrapped up my dts in jerusalem last week. we spent a week touring the holy land, and then a week in lectures with joseph watson, an amazing and inspiring servant of the Lord. it was a great time spent with friends, and saying goodbye was hard. my lovely friend emrie felt called home, and took a flight out of tel aviv the day after graduation. we said a tearful goodbye, and then six of us headed to a friend's house outside the old city to crash for a few days.
myself, phil, kristi, beau, dan and kenny are now doing our own debrief of sorts in dahab, egypt. it is a gloriously low-key spot on the gulf of aqaba in the red sea. we decided to take a short vacation after months of craziness, in order to prepare for the ministry we feel called to continue in these next months. the six of us have realized that life after dts will never look the same as it did before we arrived in new zealand. God has done amazing things in our lives. we want to glorify His name, and continue forcefully advancing His kingdom with every single day we live.
we each feel a call to the nations during this time. since we have an around-the-world-ticket, we have decided to use this unique opportunity to really dig in, and practice living a kingdom life. europe is one of the most spiritually dead places in the world. God willing, we plan on traveling throughout that continent, following His leading...meeting people, ministering, speaking truth, and taking service and volunteer opportunities wherever we can find them. many people have asked how we afford this kind of lifestyle. i love when they do, because it is an opportunity to share about the amazing provision of the Father! each of us have awesome stories as to how God has enabled us to continue traveling. i am learning to rely completely on Him for everything. sometimes it's difficult or scary, and it's always counter-cultural, but what a testimony to the lovingkindness of our Creator!
i know my journey is bound to yield more ridiculously awesome stories, so i will continue to blog frequently and update pictures, etc. i hope you will all be a part of this next stage of my life. i truly believe i am walking in the will of my Father, especially because he has been so faithful in providing and taking care of us in these last couple of weeks.
from dahab, we will return to jerusalem to take part in a christian youth conference in tel aviv. it is a huge event, with world-renowned speakers, evangelists, and worship leaders. the six of us will be volunteering to set up for a few days, and then be free to enjoy the gathering with the rest of the israeli, egyptian and saudi arabian youth. this convention is being anticipated as a time of movement and change in the youth of the middle east. i am so excited to see what God will do!
after the conference we are heading to cairo, athens, zurich and paris. we don't have much of a definite plan after that, but i will be in europe until december. please pray for safety, wisdom, provision and clear direction from God as i continue my journey.
